Starry Night: Constellation Talk and Stargazing Experience

Starry Night: Constellation Talk and Stargazing Experience

Saturday 28th September 2024 from 18:30pm to 21:00pm

Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum
Dinmore Hill, Leominster, Herefordshire, HR6 0PY, West Midlands

Immerse yourself in the wonders of the night sky as our knowledgeable speaker guides you through the celestial wonders above. Learn about the fascinating stories behind the constellations that have captured human imagination for centuries.

The evening will be led by Chris Millington. A keen amateur astronomer who recently became Chairman of the Herefordshire Astronomical Society, which I has been a member of for some 15 years. Chris first ‘got the bug’ as a young child and has since spent his lifetime acquiring an increasing amount of knowledge and kit for observing our skies.

Following the talk, we’ll embark on a leisurely walk through the park, allowing you to experience the serene beauty of the nighttime landscape. As darkness falls, we’ll settle in for a tour of the sky. Binoculars not necessary but if you do have a pair, feel free to bring them along. If the weather is kind to us, we hope Saturn may just be visible rising low as the evening progresses.

To keep you warm and cosy throughout the evening, complimentary warm drinks will be served, ensuring your comfort as you soak in the celestial spectacle.

Please note that this has already taken place on 28/09/2024
