Moffat Astronomy Club

Join the friendly members of the Moffat Astronomy Club for their monthly club meeting at the Proudfoot Institute building. These sessions take place on the second Tuesday of each month from October to March and include an informal presentation or talk on an astronomical topic and a chance to catch up over a cuppa. The meeting also offers a way to learn more about the club and their lovely nearby observatory.

The fantastic Moffat Community Observatory is open to public visits throughout the week (except for Sundays) from October to March. Enjoy incredible views of the night skies above internationally-recognised Moffat Dark Sky Town and observe extraordinary objects through the observatory's giant 16" aperture telescope. These informal open evenings are subject to favourable weather conditions and the availability of volunteers. The observatory is available free of charge; however, donations are welcome.
