Leighton Observatory - Pex Hill, Widnes, WA8 5QW

Join the friendly and welcoming astronomers from the Liverpool Astronomical Society for this public open evening of their fabulous Leighton Observatory at Pex Hill. If the weather is suitable, society members often have their telescopes ready to observe astronomical objects such as stars, planets, galaxies, nebulae, and stunning star clusters. If you have a telescope, bring it along! If the weather is poor, there's an opportunity for an informal chat about all things space! So whether you are a beginner, professional astronomer or simply interested in astronomy, pop along and visit!

A parent or responsible adult must accompany youngsters. The cost is a few pounds per evening, or you can join the Young Astronomers Club for a small annual fee.
