Heaton Park Astronomy Group are a small but active group of amateur astronomers covering the north of Manchester. They hold regular informal weekly meetings from September to March, which include practical stargazing if weather permits and are suitable for all ages.

  • Heaton Park Astronomy Group meeting and observing

    Thursday every week from October 2024 to March 2025

    Heaton Park Bowls Pavilion - Prestwich, Prestwich, M25 2GT

    Heaton Park Astronomy Group meet at the Heaton Park Bowls Pavilion between 7 pm and 9 pm every Thursday during the winter months, October to March.

    Events are suitable for all ages and are free to attend. Newcomers are very welcome, including absolute beginners.

    Enjoy a presentation on various astronomical topics and observe with telescopes and binoculars if the skies are clear. Refreshments are available too!
