Prosiect Nos is the North Wales Dark Skies Partnership, a joint project between Snowdonia National Park and the three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs), Anglesey, Llŷn Peninsula and the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley.
The team are working to protect the darkness in Wales including the Snowdonia Dark Sky Reserve, Wales’ largest protected dark sky area. Work is continuing with the IDA to gain dark sky recognition for the three AONB’s and as a whole, the team are committed to reducing light pollution in north Wales. They run events across the area, from stargazing and starry swims to wildlife walks and fascinating lectures.
Wales has the highest percentage of protected dark skies anywhere in the world. Something we are immensely proud of and adding to all the time. You can find out more about their work on their website.
