DESCRIPTION:Kielder Forest Star Camp is staged annually in Spring and Autum
 n in the darkest part of the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park.\n
 \nPeople come from around the country and camp on Kielder Campsite (althou
 gh some prefer to stay in B and Bs\, lodges and hotels) and bring telescop
 es if they have them. Many come for all five days\, others a minimum of tw
 o. These events don't offer any formal instruction for beginners\, but man
 y observers are happy to share their views with others. People do their ow
 n thing\, mingle\, and marvel under the sometimes clear night sky.\n\nWhet
 her you are a veteran or a novice\, you are welcome to join in. The event 
 also features a main day at nearby Kielder Castle\, free Astro talks and a
 n Astro car boot sale. All attendees will be asked to abide by strict no-w
 hite-light rules (red light only after dusk) so that everyone can allow th
 eir eyes to adjust to appreciate the fantastic dark skies fully.\n\n&nbsp\
