SUMMARY:Cygnus Observatory public open evening
DESCRIPTION:Everyone is welcome to this public open evening of the Cygnus O
 bservatory at the Washington Wetland Centre. \n\nThe observatory is usuall
 y open every Thursday and Sunday evening to members and non-members from 7
  – 9 pm.  Please note that these events are subject to volunteer availab
 ility and weather conditions.\n\nAstronomers from the Sunderland Astronomi
 cal Society will operate telescopes and answer questions. So if you have a
  telescope\, bring it along for expert advice! \n\nOn the third Sunday of 
 each month\, the group meets for a more formal session that includes a pre
 sentation by a guest speaker.\n\nThese events are an excellent opportunity
  to learn more about their Society and possibly join their group.\n\nAs de
 tails for these events are subject to change\, we recommend contacting the
  Society if you plan to attend.\n\n
