The welcoming members of the Croydon Astronomical Society open their Norman Fisher Observatory near Kenley Aerodrome every clear Saturday evening from around the beginning of September through to the end of April.
These open evenings are weather permitting and only go ahead if the skies are clear enough to allow observing. Opening times change throughout the year based on the season and what is visible in the evening.
The group will announce if the event is going ahead and tonight’s opening time around Saturday lunchtime. Please check the home page of their website or Facebook page for the latest updates.
Parking is nearby in Hayes Lane, just a couple hundred metres to the south, at the Royal Air Force Kenley Tribute.
These events are free of charge, and there is no need to book.
