Observing at Flamsteed Observatory
The second Saturday of the month from January 2024 to December 2024
Flamsteed Observatory
Near Brailsford, Derby, Derbyshire, DE6 3BY
Members of the public are welcome to join astronomers from the Derby & District Astronomical Society for monthly observing sessions (usually) on the second Saturday of each month (start time varies through the year).
These sessions offer the opportunity to look through the Society’s telescopes; during Summer months it may be possible to view the Sun safely using solar telescopes. If you have a telescope you are welcome to bring it along. Note that anyone attending the observatory does so at their own risk.
If you would like to attend an observing session (or book a group visit) please contact the Society’s Secretary.
