Public members are welcome to join the Newtown Astronomical Society for monthly meetings from September to June on the second Saturday of each month.
Light refreshments are available during the meeting, with raffle prizes up for grabs during the main break and a monthly “What’s on in the month ahead” feature by Tony Cook of Aberystwyth University to bring the meeting to a close.
If weather permits, an informal stargazing session will also take place. Telescopes will be provided; you can bring your telescope for help and advice.
