DESCRIPTION:The friendly and welcoming astronomers from the Salford Astrono
 mical Society open their fantastic observatory on Wednesday evenings of mo
 st weeks throughout the whole year. These events occur no matter the weath
 er\, with presentations taking place if the skies are cloudy.\n\nThe obser
 vatory is home to an incredible 18" aperture reflecting telescope\, and th
 e Society renovated the facility in 2020 with a new warm room and projecto
 r screen.\n\nThe observatory offers solar viewing through the summer month
 s and may stay open for longer each evening if the skies are clear.\n\nNot
 e that on the second Wednesday of each month between September and April t
 he observatory is closed as the Society meets at Swinton Gateway for their
  public lecture evening.\n\nA visit is highly recommended! Clear skies!
