Set in rural Cornwall next door to Goonhilly Earth Satellite Station, this 26-acre, fully accessible former quarry site is sheltered and private. The reflection of stars sparkles in the 10-acre freshwater lake, and with a backdrop of quarry walls and serene wind turbines over the top, it’s incredibly picturesque and tranquil.
The location is a good 10-minute drive from the nearest village or small town, nestled in open moorland/farmland and with only 6-holiday properties on site plus our small watersports centre and lakeside cafe. The charity Children’s Sailing Trust owns and runs the whole area.
Stay & gaze - this location benefits from dark skies, relatively low levels of light pollution, is astronomy friendly and suitable for stargazing breaks.
