Stargazing in London

Believe it or not, there are plenty of places to go stargazing in London, where you can see stars, planets and the brighter of the deep-sky objects, including galaxies and nebulae, when using a telescope.

London may be one of the most light-polluted cities on the planet; however, it is home to numerous astronomy groups who tuck themselves away in parks, commons, and observatories.

Even if the capital’s light pollution does spoil the views, we thoroughly recommend looking up your local astronomy group and joining them in their stargazing activities.
