Pheasant’s Roost is a shepherd’s hut that sits in a small paddock looking out onto farmland.
There is minimal local light pollution with no street lighting. Previous guests have commented on the incredible amount of stars they have seen whilst relaxing in the wood-fired hot tub with a glass of bubbly or a beer!
The shepherd’s hut is luxurious, with an en-suite shower room, log burner and cooking facilities. It sleeps 2, and 2 dogs are welcome too.
The venue offers easy access to the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail, plus many off-road walks from the doorstep and two nearby pubs. Dalby Forest, which hosts numerous stargazing events from Autumn through Spring, is a 30-minute drive away.
Stay & gaze - this location benefits from dark skies, relatively low levels of light pollution, is astronomy friendly and suitable for stargazing breaks.
