Astrocampus Observing Evening - Autumn 2023
Thursday 14th December 2023 from 18:30pm to 19:30pm
Astrocampus - University of York
Heslington West Campus, York, North Yorkshire, YO10 5NA
Join the team from Astrocampus for a family-friendly evening exploring the night sky and trying hands-on space-science activities.
Tour the observatory and discover what to look for in the night sky. Observe the Moon, planets, and stars when the weather allows with our telescopes and binoculars.
Even if the weather lets us down, find out about meteors and handle our genuine meteorite, investigate how new space telescopes work using an infrared camera, and learn about the scale of the Solar System with craft activities.
Events go ahead, whatever the weather. Register for your free spaces via the Eventbrite website.
Please note that this has already taken place on 14/12/2023
