Perseid meteor watch with Croydon Astronomical Society
Tuesday 13th August 2024 from 22:00pm to Wednesday 14th August 2024 02:00am
RAF Kenley Tribute Memorial
Hayes Lane, Kenley, Surrey, CR5 1JS
You are invited to join the friendly astronomers from the Croydon Astronomical Society for this observing session from 10pm next to the RAF Tribute on Kenley Aerodrome into the early hours of Wednesday.
The event is weather dependent; please keep an eye on the group’s facebook page and website on the day of the event for our updates.
No equipment is needed but if you have a camping chair and a thick coat that would be good, it gets cold at night even in summer!
Depending on available resources the group may have a radio meteor detection system there and we may have a telescope or two to look at the planets as they rise late in the night.
Please note that this has already taken place on 13/08/2024
