Perseid Meteor Shower at the Rosse Observatory

See the peak of the Perseid meteor shower with the welcoming astronomers from the West Yorkshire Astronomical Society at their fabulous Rosse Observatory. Doors open from 8pm until late for anyone that would like to join them.

No equipment is needed just a recliner chair/blanket to sit out on the grass and look up to hopefully see some meteors. This is a weather permitting event but our fingers are crossed for a clear sky.

There will be telescopes out on the pad and our main scope up in the dome in operation for close up views of amazing astronomical objects.

Entrance applies, £5 per person or £8 per family, payable on the door with no prior booking required.
