Perseid meteor shower photography workshop
Monday 12th August 2024 from 11:00am to Tuesday 13th August 2024 01:00am
Bowlees Visitor Centre
Newbiggin, Middleton-in-Teesdale, County Durham, DL12 0XF
This workshop is timed for full astronomical darkness, the peak hours of the Perseid meteor shower, and visibility of the Milky Way core.
Meeting near Bowlees Visitor Centre you’ll head to Low Force Waterfall. It’s an excellent location for astrophotography, and the wide expanse of sky makes it perfect for 2024’s best forecast meteor shower.
The Milky Way core will be above the south-western horizon for the duration of the workshop, and at peak brightness.
Please don’t let the fact this is a Monday night put you off. The combination of the Perseids, the Milky Way, and no Moon is too good to ignore!
We welcome all ability levels, from absolute beginners, to people who’ve dabbled with night photography, to more experienced photographers.
Please note that this has already taken place on 12/08/2024
