Stargazing in Cairngorms Dark Sky Park

In November 2018 the International Dark Sky Association awarded the Tomintoul and Glenlivet – Cairngorms Dark Sky Park with “Gold Tier” status in recognition of its incredible night skies and efforts to reduce light pollution.

With support from the Tomintoul & Glenlivet Landscape Partnership the project worked closely with distilleries, farms, Moray District Council and households to change outdoor lighting and so protect the dark skies for future generations to enjoy.
