Stirling Astronomical Society

Members of the Stirling Astronomical Society meet on the last Friday of each month from October through to May (excluding December), and you're very welcome to join them! These sessions tend to be more informal and include often include a presentation by a Society Member or guest speaker. These meetings are a great way of learning more about their society, getting help and advice and finding out about group observing opportunities.

Each year from October to March, the Stirling Astronomical Society organises astronomy evening classes at the fabulous Highland Hotel. From interested beginners to seasoned astronomers, everyone is welcome to learn about various topics, including variable stars, comets, galaxies, and nebulae. The hotel is also home to an observatory which enables views of the skies should weather permit. Don't hesitate to contact the Society if you would like to join them!
