The Rosliston Astronomy Group are a friendly and welcoming group of amateur astronomers based at the Rosliston Forestry Centre. They are the proud keepers of the fantastic Peter Bolas Observatory located at the centre, organising regular meetings and observing events.

  • Rosliston Astronomy Group Astrophotography Session

    The first Friday of the month from May 2022 to May 2023

    Rosliston Forestry Centre, Swadlincote, DE12 8JX

    Rosliston Astronomy Group has a particular interest group dedicated to Astrophotography, which meets (usually) on the first Friday of each month. These sessions focus on Astro-imaging, including demonstrating different approaches with various equipment. These meetings are for members; however, new members are always welcome!

    The second Friday of the month from May 2022 to May 2023

    Join astronomers from the Rosliston Astronomy Group for this mid-month meeting held on the second Friday of each month. These sessions include a presentation by a guest speaker and, weather permitting and if time allows, observing from the nearby Peter Bolas Observatory.
