NASTRO, Northumberland Astronomical Society, are a friendly, active group of professional and amateur astronomers from the North East of England. The Society aims to promote astronomy and science education and host regular meetings and observing sessions at their Hauxley Observatory, located at Hauxley Nature Reserve.

  • Northumberland Astronomical Society meeting

    The second Thursday of the month from January 2023 to December 2023

    Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre and Observatory, Amble, NE65 0JR

    Join members of Northumberland Astronomical Society for this one of their twice-monthly meetings (second and last Thursday of each month) at Hauxley Wildlife Centre. Non-members are welcome to attend these sessions, including a talk on an astronomical topic and an excellent opportunity to meet local astronomers. If you'd like to look through their telescopes, please get in touch with them to find out about their next observing session. A contribution of £3 per adult and £1 per child is requested to help cover costs or join the Society, and the meetings are free.
